Opening Day

By Ryan

On the eve of opening day, I guess I should check in and say hello. It’s been a long offseason, and one of the longest spring trainings in baseball history, buy finally Minor League Opening Day is upon us. And after a few frantic days the last couple of weeks, I can actually say I think I’m ready. So that’s nice.

I’ll make sure to put out a real entry here on the blog this weekend from Lake County, Ohio where the Suns will be taking on the Captains.

Until then, tune in to WJEJ AM 1240 at 6:15 on Thursday for Opening Night, or if you’re not in the tri-state area, you can always listen live at hagerstownsuns.com.

Have a wonderful evening, and go Suns!

Ryan, in your honest opinion does the Suns pitcher Chris Lugo stand a shot at becoming a consistant reliever, or a starting pitcher maybe, or is he just going to ride the bench? Does he stand a chance in moving up to AA? Understaning of course, that you do not have to answer, but your opinion would be appreciated. Anyone’s opinion would be nice.

Well, listened to my first Suns game last night and was pleased with the call of the game. GOOD JOB. Just wished the results were different, but I think this will be a good year for the boys.

Karl: Lets hope that Chris will get his shot, we just have to remember that these guys are just here for a short time, hopefully continue to grow and move on.

I noticed that the tripleA club listed in the Suns Links is wrong, can we get it fixed?

What was the real reason for the cancel of July 31,2009 game? As the players were practicing, the field looked good, the sun was out, and the beer was cold. Couldn’t see any water in the outfield.
